When Rafelita Gonzales Marques was born on April 15, 1905, in New Mexico, her father, Juan, was 40, and her mother, Francesca, was 31. She had ten children with Juan A Marquez between 1923 and 1941. She died on March 16, 1968, in Littlefield, Texas, at the age of 62, and was buried there.
